Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PharmDev customer app, PharmDev rider app, PharmDev pharmacy dashboard, and pharmdev.org (together, the "Services"), operated by PharmDev Ltd, a company registered in Ghana ("PharmDev," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using any PharmDev Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What PharmDev is — and isn't

PharmDev is a technology platform that connects customers with independent, licensed pharmacies and independent delivery riders. PharmDev does not itself store, handle, dispense, or sell medicines. Every medicine ordered through PharmDev is sourced, priced, and dispensed by the licensed pharmacy fulfilling that order — PharmDev's role is limited to the technology connecting you, the pharmacy, and the delivery rider.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create a PharmDev account. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.

3. Orders and payment

• Prices shown are set by the pharmacy fulfilling your order, plus PharmDev's service fee and the delivery fee, both shown at checkout before you pay.
• Payment is processed through Paystack via mobile money (MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, AirtelTigo Money) or card.
• Orders for prescription/controlled medicines require a valid prescription upload, which the fulfilling pharmacy reviews before preparing your order.
• A pharmacy may be unable to fulfil an order (e.g. out of stock) — in that case your order is automatically reassigned to the next available pharmacy, or refunded if none are available.

4. Delivery

Deliveries are carried out by independent riders using the PharmDev rider app. Every delivery is confirmed with a one-time code shown in your app — please only share this code with the rider once you've received your order. Estimated delivery times are targets, not guarantees, and can be affected by traffic, weather, or pharmacy preparation time.

5. Cancellations and refunds

You may cancel an order before a pharmacy accepts it for a full refund. Once a pharmacy has begun preparing your order, cancellation may not be possible or may be subject to a partial charge for medicines already prepared. If an order arrives damaged, incorrect, or not at all, contact our customer service team within 48 hours and we'll investigate and resolve it, which may include a refund.

6. For delivery riders

Riders are independent contractors, not PharmDev employees. Approval to ride requires successful identity verification (Ghana Card and a matching selfie). Riders are paid a share of the delivery fee for each completed delivery, disbursed to their registered mobile money or bank account on PharmDev's payout schedule. PharmDev may suspend a rider's account for safety violations, fraud, or repeated failure to fulfil accepted deliveries.

7. For partner pharmacies

Pharmacies listing on PharmDev must hold a valid, current licence from the Pharmacy Council of Ghana and are responsible for the accuracy of their listed inventory, pricing, and for correctly dispensing every order against a valid prescription where required. PharmDev retains a service commission on the listed price of each order, disbursed on PharmDev's payout schedule.

8. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any unlawful purpose, including ordering controlled substances without a valid prescription.
• Attempt to interfere with, forge, or bypass any verification, payment, or delivery-confirmation mechanism in any PharmDev app.
• Harass, threaten, or endanger any rider, pharmacy staff, or other user.
• Use another person's account or payment method without authorisation.

9. Limitation of liability

PharmDev facilitates connections between customers, pharmacies, and riders but is not responsible for the quality, safety, or efficacy of medicines dispensed by a partner pharmacy, which remains that pharmacy's professional responsibility under Ghanaian law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PharmDev's liability for any claim arising from use of the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
